Rock Hall Celebrates Rock N’ Football August 1st-8th

Cleveland - The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is kicking off a celebratory week spotlighting the connections between rock and football Aug. 1-8, 2019 at the Museum.

Fans can celebrate the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Enshrinement Week (Aug. 1-4) and the Cleveland Browns first preseason game against the Washington Redskins (Aug. 8) and learn more about the connections between music and football, view football themed artifacts, and compete in trivia to win Rock Hall prizes. The programs are free with museum admission, and space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Music has become engrained in the tradition of many sports events. The exhibit also features favorite artists from a handful of enshrinees from the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2019 Enshrinement who will be enshrined on Saturday, Aug. 3, including Johnny Robinson’s picks Elvis and the Drifters, and Ed Reed’s and Champ Bailey’s favorite, OutKast, and more! Visitors can also check out Jimi Hendrix’s football-themed childhood drawings in the Legends of Rock exhibit area.

Fans can rush to the Museum for Stories of Rock offered daily at 1 p.m., Aug. 1-8. Football themed songs and players’ favorite artists are also queued up on Rock Boxes around town, can be heard throughout the Museum and are available for download on the Rock Hall’s Spotify page.
