WHAT: St. Vincent de Paul Society 19th Annual Kentucky Derby Party, which serves as the organization’s marquee fundraiser for its network of hunger centers

WHEN:Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

WHERE:Great Lakes Brewing Company Tasting Room (2701 Carroll Avenue, Cleveland, 44113)

WHY:The event will benefit SVDP’s network of eight hunger centers, which feed 14,000 Cleveland- and Akron-area residents monthly

DETAILS: The evening will feature the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby on the large screen, live betting on the race, a hat contest, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, authentic Derby food and spirits, valet parking and Cleveland’s own Great Lakes Brewing Company beer.

SVDP Cleveland is a local human services and welfare organization that positively impacts the lives of more than 300,000 people annually residing in Ashland, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Summit and Wayne counties. Thanks to its core of over 1,200 volunteers (known as “Vincentians”) from participating local neighborhood parishes (known as “Conferences”), each year the Society helps Northeast Ohio’s poor in many different ways.
