Bay Village Police Blotter: Stolen Leaf Blowers And A Drunk Woman In A Park

On 03/19/2019, at 0014 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped to check on a vehicle that was stopped in Cahoon Park near the Family Aquatic Center.After speaking with the 63-yoa female driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the Cleveland resident was arrested for OVI.She will face charges at RRMC.

03/19/2019, at 1819 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Wolf at Parkside for a stop sign violation.While speaking with the male driver, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle.A probable cause search of the vehicle turned up a bag of marijuana.The 21-yoa Bay Village resident was cited for Possession of Marijuana and assigned a court date at RRMC.

On 03/19/2019 at 1912 hrs, a resident on Revere reported that 3 leaf blowers were stolen from his garage.Police are investigating.

On 03/24/2019, at 0108 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Columbia for a traffic violation.After speaking with the 26-yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as result, the Bay Village resident was arrested for OVI.He will face charges at RRMC.

On 03/24/209, at 1358 hrs, a resident reported that he and left his car parked at St. Raphael’s church over the weekend while away on an outing.When he returned to pick it up, his car had been keyed. Police are investigating.
