(INDEPENDENCE) Police are enhancing security video to try to identify the man who punched 83-year-old Gary Power of Fairview Park at the Sunoco station at I-77 and Rockside about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police say the suspect drove a black SUV. Power fell after getting punched and hit his head on the pavement. He died Tuesday after his family pulled him off life-support.

"Our officers were leaving the scene of a call at Denny's Restaurant and one of our officers noticed a male laying the parking lot of the gas station next door," says Independence Police Chief Michael Kilbane. "He was unconscious."

Chief Kilbane says the attack could have been the result of a minor traffic accident that happened across the street. Call Independence Police at (216) 524-1234 if you have information.
