Bay Village Police Blotter: December 4th

Bay Village - 

On 11/29/2018, at 11:58 hours, an officer was dispatched to Lakeview Drive on the report that a package had been stolen off the resident’s porch. The victim received e-mail notification from FedEx that a package had been delivered, but then found out that it had been stolen.  A contractor working at a house next door saw FedEx drop off the package. Approximately five minutes later the same witness saw a white male take it; place it into the bed of an older model light blue Ford pickup truck and then drive away west bound. Information was taken for a report and forwarded to the detective bureau.

At 12/01/2018, at 04:25 hours, a resident who lives on Wolf Road, near Columbia Road came to the station to report his wife’s 2018 Hyundai Elantra had been stolen overnight. It had last been seen parked in the driveway, unlocked and with the keys left inside. Two other vehicles also parked and unlocked in the driveway had been rifled. Information was taken for a report.

AT 12/01/2018, at 09:47 hours, an officer was dispatched to a Bayfair Drive home for a report of a theft from auto. The victim stated that when he went outside this morning he realized his wallet, that he had accidentally left lying on the front seat, was missing. He could not remember whether he had locked his Nissan Rogue. There were no obvious signs of forced entry. Information was taken for a report.

At 12/01/2018, at 16:32 hours, an officer was dispatched to a domicile on Bruce Road, near Upland on the report that a purse had been taken overnight from a 2016 Ford Focus parked in the driveway. The vehicle had been unlocked with the keys in the ignition. There were other items of value inside the car, but the only thing stolen was the purse. Information was taken for a report.
