Medina Hospital locked down in shooter hoax

(Medina) - Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital was on lock-down due to what was believed to be a possible active shooter situation.  Police arrived at the scene after a Code Silver alert was sent to the hospital staff, which indicates immediate action to protect yourselves and others.

Medina Police later confirmed that it was a hoax that was phoned in. There never was a woman with a gun in the hospital. About 150 officers searched the hospital from top to bottom. Officials say the emergency room remained open and no ongoing procedures were cancelled.
