(Cleveland) - The family of Ta'Nejah McCloud has filed suit against the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services. The 5 year old died of blunt force trauma months after several calls to and visits from the county department, who - at the time - did not believe there was enough evidence of abuse to take Ta'Nejah out of her mother's home and place her in state custody.
The mother, Tequila Trump and her live-in boyfriend were both charged and sentenced to prison in relation to Ta'Nejah's death. The remaining members of Ta'Nejah's family claim in the suit that county social services were negligent in the handling of her case, leading to her premature death.
