Search On For Man Accused Of Threatening President

Washington Township - The U.S. Marshals, FBI, U.S. Secret Service, and Mansfield State Highway Patrol are asking for the public’s help in locating a Pennsylvania man wanted for threatening the president and other elected officials.

27-year-old Shawn Richard Christy also has multiple state arrest warrants in Pennsylvania for burglary, probation violation, and failure to appear for an aggravated assault case. Christy has threatened to use “full lethal force on any law enforcement officer that tries to detain me.”

A federal warrant was issued June 19th for Christy in relation to Facebook threats to the Northampton County district attorney, stating, “Keep it up Morganelli, I promise I’ll put a bullet in your head as soon as I put one in the head of President Donald J. Trump.”

Sunday, Christy stole a truck from the area of McAdoo, Pennsylvania. Then, at approximately 4:45 Sunday evening Christy crashed along I-71 in the Mansfield area.  The stolen vehicle has been recovered by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.  

The U.S. Marshal Service is asking anyone with information on this vehicle to call 911 or the U.S. Marshals direct at: 1-866-4-WANTED or text keyword WANTED and the tip to TIP411 (847411). Federal Agents are offering a cash award of up to $20,000 for information leading to the direct arrest of Christy. Any information will be considered confidential.

Christy is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs approximately 160 pounds, is a white male with a light complexion, has a tattoo of a cross on his right upper arm, short dark blonde hair and a beard. Christy also speaks with a noticeable lisp and claims to be a survivalist. Christy is from McAdoo Pennsylvania.

Christy should be consider armed and dangerous.  Citizens in the Mansfield area should use caution.  Homes and cars should remain locked.  If you see Christy call the authorities immediately.
