The White House says a former Nazi labor camp guard who was captured by ICE agents has been deported to Germany.  Jakiw Palij came to the U.S. in 1949 and became a U.S. citizen in 1957 after lying about his Nazi background.  The now 95-year-old admitted to Justice Department officials in 2003 that he trained at a Nazi camp in German-occupied Poland during World War Two.  Why did it take so long to deport Palij?  Does this remind you of the John Demanjuk case?

4.      After peering at the world from behind bars, the animals on the boxes of Animal Crackers will be allowed to run free. Parent company Mondelez International made the move after pressure from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to make over the circus-themed box. Animal Crackers had that look for more than 100 years. "Big victories can come in small packages," the animal rights group wrote on its website.  How do you feel about the changes on Animal Cracker boxes?

5.      The money is on the Browns in Las Vegas.  The Browns are listed as 60-1 odds to win the Super Bowl and they have attracted more bets than the Falcons, Chiefs or Jaguars who all made the playoffs last season.  In addition, more people have bet on the Browns to win the AFC North than the Steelers, the Ravens or the Bengals and two-thirds of the bets on the season win total of 5.5 are betting over.   Are Browns fans drinking the Kool-Aid?

6.      Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield announced an endorsement deal with PSD Underwear.  On Twitter, Mayfield is shirtless and said he was giving away 500 free pairs of underwear.  Will women be swooning over the shirtless QB?

7.       To commemorate “National Women’s Equality Day” a “Go Topless Rally” will be held this coming weekend in Ashville, North Carolina. says on its website: “If men are allowed to go topless in public women should have the same constitutional right”.   What do you think?  Should women be legally allowed to go topless?

8.      Play “Snow Days” song hook by the Ohio City Singers (it should be in Nex Gen):  A school district in South Carolina is getting rid of “snow days” and is replacing them with eLearning Days.  When classrooms are closed because of the weather, teachers will send parents digital assignments their children will have to complete at home.  If for any reason students have a problem accessing the internet, they will still be required to complete the assignment within five days on their own time.   What you like to see eLearning days be implemented in Northeast Ohio schools?

9.      Play “Imagine” by John Lennon song hook:  John Lennon's convicted killer, Mark David Chapman is scheduled to be in front of New York's Board of Parole this week. This is Chapman's 10th time trying to gain parole.  His 2016 request was denied as the board reportedly felt the crime was premeditated and "celebrity-seeking."  Can you imagine a day when he will be free?

10.      The former Canton human trafficking victim who helped kill her pimp will remain in prison.  The Ohio Supreme Court upheld Alexis Martin's life sentence despite finding Summit County Juvenile Court should have invoked the state's safe-harbor law.  The law protects children whose crimes are tied to being a victim of human trafficking.  Martin was 15 when she helped orchestrate the murder of Angelo Kerney in 2013.   How do you feel about the Ohio Supreme Court ruling?
