Cleveland - the 6th most dangerous city in America

(Cleveland) - SafeWise.com has released it's latest Safest Cities Report, which indicates Cleveland is not very safe at all.

Krystal Rogers of SafeWise says in the average U.S. city, 7 out of every 1000 residents are victims of violent crime.

In Cleveland the number is 16 out of every 1000. That makes Cleveland the 6th most dangerous city in the United States.

Detroit is the most dangerous urban area, the safest city in America is Virginia Beach, Virginia. To compile this report, SafeWise analysts reviewed the most recent 2016 FBI crime statistics and population data.

Cities that fell below identified population threshold of 300,000, or failed to submit a complete FBI crime report, were excluded from the ranking system.

Their evaluation is based on the number of reported violent crimes (aggravated assault, murder, rape and robbery) in each city per 1000 people.

If there was a tie, they also factored in the number of property crimes (burglary, arson, larceny-theft, and car theft).
