Hot Sauce Attack: This Week's Solon Police Blotter

Criminal Mischief, Aurora Road:  July 13th 11:07 p.m.  The 20 year old resident reports that someone pushed open his bedroom window while he was sleeping and dumped hot sauce on him and his couch.  He awoke during the incident and observed the suspects arm, which was that of an African-American male, and observed an African-American male running from his window with dreadlocks.  The victim believes that is was a previous roommate based on what he saw and the way that their relationship ended.  An arrest warrant was issued for Joshua Bradley, 22, of Cleveland for Criminal Mischief.  The complainant Raymond Conomy, 20 of Solon, was found to have an outstanding warrant through Solon for failing to appear for a Disorderly Conduct charge and was arrested based on that warrant.

Theft, McAfee Drive:  July 14th 3:54 p.m.  A 69 year old McAfee Drive resident reported that a person that he had hired as a handyman had taken coins from a locked storage container and concealed them in his luggage while he was in the shower.  David P. Sanislo, 61, of Orwell, was arrested for Theft.  

Theft, AMC Classic 16:  July 14th 6:44 p.m.  Officers responded to AMC Classic 16, 6185 Enterprise Parkway, for a stolen vehicle report. The victim, a 47 year old Bedford Resident, states he parked the car, a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, in the north end of the lot at about 4:30 pm and entered the theater to watch a movie.  After the movie ended, he and his companion returned to the lot to find the car missing.  The car is paid for and the victim has the only set of keys; it has been entered as a stolen vehicle.  

Trespassing, Nite and Day Dry Cleaners:  July 14th 11:50 a.m.  The owner of the business at 33730 Aurora Road reported that an individual by the name of Robert Konst (Hollywood Bob) had entered the business at about 3:00 pm the previous day and asked for directions, handing the female employee a signed picture of himself which read “Hollywood Bob to a great lady”.  In November 2013 Konst had been issued a no trespass order after an incident occurred in front of the business involving Mr. Konst.  A warrant has been issued for Konst, 72, of Bainbridge for Trespassing.

Theft, Landsdowne Drive:  July 13th 7:49 a.m.  Workers for Tri Mor Construction came to the worksite on Landsdowne Drive on July 16th to find the lock to their construction trailer cut and several tools taken.  The trailer was left on Friday July 13th at 5:00 p.m. and the theft was discovered at 7:45 a.m. on Monday.  An orange Stihl saw valued at $1500, a black generator valued at $2149 and a red Hilti hammer drill valued at $2400 are reported missing.  The detective bureau will review.

OVI, Cochran Road:  July 16th 11:08 p.m.  Lameir Bibbs, 21 of Maple Heights, was arrested after being observed exiting US 422 while changing lanes without signaling and drifting between lanes.  A traffic stop was initiated at 6200 Cochran Road and, as the officer approached the car, the passenger exited and began running, pursued by the officer.  The passenger slipped and fell, and was taken into custody.  Located in his shorts was 24.5 grams of marijuana and a digital scale.  The vehicle was searched and a loaded Taurus 9mm handgun was located under the front passenger seat.  A cup of clear alcoholic beverage was located in the center console cup holder.  The driver, Bibbs, had an odor of alcohol about him, and field sobriety tests indicated that he was impaired.  He was arrested and taken to jail where he submitted to a breath test with a result of .060.  He also provided a urine sample which was sent to the Ohio State Highway Patrol lab for exam.  Bibbs is charged with Marked Lanes, No Seatbelt, No Turn Signal, OVI, Possession of Marijuana, and having an Open Container.  His passenger Darius Demarco Paige, 21 of Cleveland, is charged with Possession of Drugs, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon (felony). 

Theft, Marc’s:  July 17th 12:29 p.m.  Loss prevention reports a male exiting Marc’s, 6231 S.O.M. Center Road, with a cart of items that he did not pay for and enter a car driven by another male.  Photos of the males and their vehicle were taken, and surveillance video exists of the theft; the detective bureau will follow up on the theft of approximately $120 in goods.

OVI, Aurora Road:  July 17th 9:10 p.m.  Squlena Harris-Gainer, 37 of Aurora, was arrested after an officer observed her driving on Aurora Road near Clearwater Drive weaving in her lane of travel and with expired license plates.  The officer noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage as he was speaking with Gaines; two toddlers were seen in the back seat of the car without proper child restraint.  Field sobriety tests indicated impairment and she was arrested and taken to jail where she refused to submit to a breath test.  She was charged with OVI, Child Restraint, and Child Endangerment. 

Burglary, Duneden Avenue:  July 18th 1:50 p.m.  The 31 and 32 year old residents of a Duneden Avenue home report that someone entered their residence between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and removed cash and property valued at approximately $12,700.  The detective bureau will follow up.

Aggravated Arson, Creative Playrooms:  July 19th 10:40 p.m.  Officers responded to a fire at Alesci’s and Creative Playrooms (32910 and 32800 Solon Road) where flames were found in three different locations on the outside rear of the buildings.  The fire department extinguished the flames and secured the scene; members of the fire department and detective bureau will follow up on the fire.
