Will Burge was charged on Monday in Willoughby Court with aggravated vehicular assault, a third degree felony punishable up to 1-5 years in jail and a $10,000 fine. He was also charged with driving under the influence, his second OVI charge in the last ten years, and driving on a divided highway. Burge refused the breathalyzer test.
Sunday morning at 3 a.m., Burge was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-90 in a RAV-4 when it crashed head-on into a Chevy Impala, just east of State Route 306. The driver of the Impala, Samia Campagna of Alliance, was transported by EMS to Hillcrest Hospital with incapacitating injuries. Burge was transported to Tri-Point Medical Center with minor injuries. A passenger in his vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
Burge is a former talk show host on both WTAM 1100 and on ESPN 850.
