A grieving family turned to ABC7 On Your Side after they say an urn they purchased for their grandfather arrived with what appears to be someone else's ashes already inside.
- A Southern California family got an unexpected and deeply unsettling delivery when an urn they ordered from Amazon to hold their grandfather's cremated remains arrived with what appeared to be someone else's ashes already inside
- Their grandmother spotted the urn first and asked if it had been ordered pre-filled
- Amazon has apologized and said the urn had come through a third-party seller, and assigned a team to determine how to handle the remains with dignity
