Suspects In Theft Of Flamingo Statue Plead Guilty

Two suspects charged in the theft of a Parma flamingo statue are pleading guilty.

Two flamingo statues—the unofficial symbol of Parma—were installed in the city after one was stolen in 2024.

One of the new statues at Broadview Road and Snow Road was stolen earlier this month.

Police later arrested 20-year-old Colin Deka and 21-year-old Jack Klamert—both from Valley View—in connection with the incident.

Each man pleaded guilty yesterday to misdemeanor theft charges and was ordered to serve ten days in jail and complete 250 hours of community service.
