The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of President Trump's plans to deport about 300,000 migrants from Venezuela who had temporary protected status.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was the only dissenting voice in the nearly unanimous decision by the Supreme Court.

President Biden had issued parole orders for migrants under the "Processes for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans" action in January 2023.

U.S. District Judge Edward Chen in the Northern District of California had previously ruled that the government had not proven any real harm in allowing the migrants to stay in the U.S. while their legal challenge progressed.
