Euclid Police officers are being cleared of any wrongdoing in connection with the death of a fellow officer.

Officer Jacob Derbin was responding to a disturbance call at a Shaker Heights apartment complex on May 11th of last year when a suspect opened fire, hitting him.

Officer Derbin later died at University Hospitals.

The suspect was later found dead by police inside an apartment unit.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has completed a report on the incident in which they say there is no evidence to suggest that anyone other than the suspect was responsible for Derbin's death.
