Vivek Ramaswamy is expected to officially launch his campaign for Ohio governor later on today.
The Trump-backed entrepreneur is a native of Cincinnati and currently lives in the Columbus area.
He ran a short-lived campaign for the White House before dropping out of the race in January of 2024.
If all goes as planned, he'll be facing Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and Heather Hill, a former school board president and business owner, in the Republican primary. They're looking to take over for term-limited GOP Governor Mike DeWine.
Former Ohio Department of Health Director Doctor Amy Acton is the only Democrat who has announced a campaign for the office so far.
