The Ohio State Buckeyes are advancing to the College Football Playoff semifinals. Ohio State defeated Oregon 41-21 in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl. Will Howard completed 17-of-26 pass attempts for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Jeremiah Smith came up big with seven receptions for 187 yards and two TDs, while TreVeyon Henderson rushed for 94 yards and two scores. The Buckeyes are now set to face-off against the Texas Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl Classic for a spot in the National Championship Game. Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel went 29-of-41 for 299 yards and two touchdowns in the losing effort. Traeshon Holden had seven catches for 11 yards and two scores as the Ducks finished the season at 13-and-1.
