A child who was the subject Monday of an Ohio Amber Alert has been recovered safely in Medina County.
Authorities say the seven-year-old girl was taken yesterday by her non-custodial father after an altercation in Jefferson County.
Authorities spotted the suspect, 47-year-old Charles Alexander, traveling with the girl in a U-Haul and were able to stop the vehicle last night in the parking lot of an Arby's.
Officers tried to negotiate with Alexander who was eventually killed in an officer-involved shooting.
The child has been reunited with her mother.
