Many Ohioans are now wondering what will happen to Vice President-elect JD Vance's Senate seat come January.
The process will work as follows: Vance will first need to resign from his position in the Senate before being sworn in as Vice President, and then Republican Governor Mike DeWine will choose his successor.
DeWine has not publicly given any names for Vance's replacement, but last week he said there were a few people interested in the position.
Whoever is selected to replace Vance, will serve through December of 2026.
