A grand jury has indicted East Cleveland Mayor Brandon L. King on several charges.
Prosecutors allege that the mayor approved city contracts with his own personal business and businesses his family members owned.
The charges against King include theft in office, having an unlawful interest in a public contract, and filing a false disclosure statement.
Additionally, East Cleveland Councilman Ernest Smith has also been indicted on charges including theft in office.
