The Royals got greedy and won both games of their doubleheader against the Guardians from Cleveland. Bobby Witt Jr. slugged a go-ahead homer in the eighth inning to secure a 4-3 victory in Game One. Hunter Gaddis got the loss in relief. Kansas City carried momentum into Game Two where Salvador Perez blasted a grand slam to go with a solo homer and another RBI for a 9-4 win. Logan Allen got the loss. The Royals have won back-to-back games and are just one game behind the Guardians for first place in the AL Central. The series continues tonight.
