People visiting Ohio’s Cedar Point amusement park on Tuesday got a chance to get up close and personal with an unplanned attraction: a pair of camels that somehow broke out of the park’s petting zoo.
“We were almost trampled by two massive mammals,” says Justin Garcia, who was visiting the park with his family. “We put some space in between us and watched the aftermath of what could have been a very dangerous situation.” After freaking out several guests at the amusement park, the camels were corralled and returned to the petting zoo, says Cedar Point spokesman Tony Clark.
“Last night, the camels decided to take an unplanned stroll just outside their home at The Barnyard,” Clark says. “We’re looking into how they made it to the midway.”
