CLEVELAND, Ohio – VegFest is set to return after a five-year hiatus.

The Cleveland Vegan Society’s fest will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

Organizers said event, which was disrupted initially by the coronavirus pandemic, will include local plant-based food vendors, artisans, merchants, speakers, non-profit groups and animal sanctuaries that showcase a cruelty-free lifestyle.

It also includes a vegan food court, cooking demos and screenings of the 2022 documentary,

“The Smell of Money,” in addition to a yoga class, children’s activities and a cruelty-free marketplace. Speakers include chef Anna Marie Harouvis, Christopher “Soul” Eubanks, Sarina Farb, chef Sonia Steele, Gwenna Hunter, chef Chad Goodwin, Dr. Keary O’Connor and Will Brooks.

The fest, which organizers said draws more than 13,000 attendees, aims to encourage awareness and education about environmental sustainability and healthier lifestyle choices.

Admission is free with suggested $5 donation. VIP tickets are $20 and allow for hour-early entry and swag bag. Go to cleveland-vegfest.square.site.

The non-profit Cleveland Vegan Society was established in 2012.
