A battle of the top two teams in the AL Central took place Tuesday night. The division-leading Guardians clawed back to beat the second-place Royals 8-5 from Cleveland. Josh Naylor and Tyler Freeman crushed two-run homers and Jose Ramirez singled-home a run to erase a five-run deficit. A throwing error in the seventh inning led to the game-winning runs. Cade Smith earned the win in relief as Cleveland improved to 40-and-20. The three-game set continues tonight.
