President Biden is making a move in the hopes of saving Americans money at the gas pump.
On Tuesday, Biden ordered the release of 1 million barrels of gasoline from the Northeast reserve in an attempt to lower prices.
The gas will be released in increments of 100,000 barrels at a time ahead of the July 4th holiday.
The current national average for a gallon of gas is $3.60, 6 cents higher than last year.
