Here’s a new corporate buzz phrase you’ll likely start hearing more about: “Dry Promotion.”
You may not have heard that phrase, but many are definitely familiar with the concept.
A “dry promotion” is when an employee gets an upgraded title and more responsibilities, but it comes without a pay raise.
‘The Wall Street Journal’ reports employers offering employees “dry promotions” has increased by 13% between 2018 and 2024.
