Year In Review
- This week we released our 2023 Downtown Cleveland Economic Development Report revealing an impressive growth trajectory in the city’s core, outpacing its peer cities in Ohio and securing a top spot in the Great Lakes Region.
- The report highlights continued progress in Downtown Cleveland’s environment, economy, and the overall Downtown experience.
- We had a year-over-year rise in workforce recovery (126%), overall foot traffic (108%), and visitor recovery (102%).
- Other notable findings include:
- Investment Boost: More than $1.25 billion in ongoing projects and a staggering $4 billion in planned private and public investments demonstrate immense potential.
- National Recognition: Downtown Cleveland holds the top spot nationwide for the share of office space slated for conversion, highlighting why Downtown Cleveland is more strongly positioned than many other cities.
- Residential Growth: Downtown Cleveland’s residential population is 112% of pre-pandemic levels, now over 21,000, reflecting its appeal as a vibrant living space.
