Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is signing an executive order to ensure state departments and agencies are prepared for the upcoming solar eclipse.

The April 8th total solar eclipse is expected to bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to the state.

DeWine's executive order allows for the Ohio Emergency Management Agency to coordinate preparation and response to the eclipse.

Part of the plan will see ODOT restricting roadwork on the day, lane closures for construction will not be permitted on the Ohio Turnpike, and there will be an increase of Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers.
