Women Used Body Of Dead Man In Scheme To Withdraw Cash From Bank Account

In Ashtabula, two women are facing accusations that they pulled a stunt that seems right out of the movies to get cash from the bank account of a dead man.

Police say the women lived with the 80-year-old victim and that, when they found him dead on March 4th, they put his body into a car and drove him to the bank so that staffers at the drive-thru would see him as they withdrew money from his account.

Police say they later dropped his body off at a local hospital.

The women are charged with gross abuse of a corpse with additional charges being considered.
