Ohio's new distracted driving law is being enforced starting today.

The six-month grace period is over. Authorities can now issue fines if they see drivers using their phones or other devices.

That includes making video calls, streaming or recording videos, and even dialing a phone number.

It's also illegal to mess with audiobooks and music streaming apps while driving.

Drivers just need to hit "play" before hitting the road.

There are some exceptions to the new law, such as calling emergency services or checking phones while completely stopped at a red light.
