The Guardians drew even in their series with the Giants following a 3-1 victory from San Francisco. Cal Quantrill earned the win after surrendering one run and striking out two batters over six innings. Tyler Freeman drove in two runs on an RBI double while Kole Calhoun also tallied an RBI. Emmanuel Clase notched his MLB-leading 40th save of the season as Cleveland improved to 69-and-77. The Guardians are still second in the AL Central and will go for the series win this afternoon.
