Although he and his teammates won their ninth game in a row on Tuesday, the night didn’t turn out to be so great for Dodgers shortstop Miguel Rojas, whose Lamborghini was broken into, police say.
Following his team’s 6-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, the 34-year-old Rojas and his family went out to eat at an L.A. restaurant, leaving his high-end car in a nearby parking lot, according to the LAPD. When they returned to the car, they discovered the passenger window had been broken out, police say. More than $1,400 worth of items – including Rojas’ mother-in-law’s purse, which contained her iPhone and credit cards -- had been taken from the vehicle, police report. Rojas has not commented on the theft.
Burglaries in Los Angeles have increased by 13 percent in recent months, according to data released by the city.
