The Guardians walked off against the Athletics in their series opener from Cleveland. The game was tied at two runs apiece heading into the bottom of the 10th inning until Andres Gimenez hit a game-winning single to secure a 3-2 victory. Enyel De Los Santos earned the win after pitching a scoreless inning of relief. Cleveland improved to 34-and-38 and is second in the AL Central. Game two of the three-game set takes place tonight.
