The Guardians fell to the Twins in walk off fashion from Minneapolis. The score was tied at six heading into the bottom of the ninth until Willi Castro hit a sacrifice fly to end the game at 7-6. Eli Morgan got the loss while Tanner Bibee surrendered three runs over five innings in his start. Mike Zunino drove in a pair of runs for Cleveland, which dropped to 25-and-31. The Guardians are third in the AL Central. Game two of the four-game set takes place tonight.
