Guardians fell to the White Sox 8-3 in their series opener from Chicago. Shane Bieber got the loss after surrendering five earned runs on 12 hits over four-plus innings. Steven Kwan drove in two runs for Cleveland, which dropped to 19-and-22. The Guardians are third in the AL Central. The team is back in action for game two of the three-game set tonight. Peyton Battenfield takes the mound while Chicago counters with Mike Clevinger.
