SpaceX had its second attempt at a successful test flight early Thursday in Texas.
About four minutes into the flight, the company's Starship rocket exploded in midair.
“What an exciting morning here at Starbase,” said SpaceX quality systems engineer Kate Tice. “We had a successful liftoff, and we cleared the tower, which was really our only hope for today.”
The rocket is said to have been as powerful as the Saturn V that launched Apollo moon missions.
