The Guardians edged the Mariners 6-5 in extra innings from Seattle. The game was tied at five heading into the top of the 10th until a throwing error forced in the go-ahead run for Cleveland. Trevor Stephan shut the door in the bottom half to secure the series win for the Guardians. Cleveland is 3-and-1 to start the season and will stay out west to play the Athletics in the first of a three-game set tonight. Zach Plesac takes the mound while Oakland counters with James Kaprielian.
