All ties between the pharmacy chain Walgreens and the state of California will be cut.
Last week, Walgreens announced that it would not sell abortion pills in states where Republicans threaten legal action.
On Monday, California Governor Gavin Newsom shared the state's decision in a tweet.
"California won't be doing business with @walgreens – or any company that cowers to the extremists and puts women's lives at risk," Newsom wrote. "We're done."
