WILLOUGHBY - The Willoughby fire department worked a large fire at the Chagrin River Walk Apartments early Friday. The fire broke out just after 6 a.m. Phase III of the complex is currently under construction, but no word on what part of the complex is affected. People are being asked to avoid Mentor Avenue from Kirtland Road to the downtown Willoughby area. Fire crews from Willoughby and other area departments including Mentor are working aggressively to extinguish the fire.
