CSU Prevents Catastrophe, Defeats Wright State 85-77

FAIRBORN, OH--- Coming off of a heartbreaking loss to Northern Kentucky Thursday night, the Vikings battled to prevent Wright State from overcoming a 21 point deficit, winning the game 85-77 Saturday night. Enaruna had an outstanding game, especially in the first half. Enaruna finished the game with 21 points, making 7 of his 9 FG attempts, and having all 3 of the teams' blocks. In that first half, CSU as a whole shot 71% from the field.

The Vikings would open up the game on a 13-2 run that was capped off by a half court lob pass from Deshon Parker to Deante Johnson for a slam dunk. After that, Wright State would go on a 9-0 run which wouldn't be their only one of the night.

The second half was a different story, at the 12:57 mark Wright State would go on a 16-0 run that lasted 4 and a half minutes and wasn't ended until Tristan Enaruna would make a free throw. If CSU were better from the FT line Saturday night, the game would've been a complete blowout, free throws were a key point of the game tonight. CSU made 17 of their 30 free throws while Wright State only missed 2 of their 23 shots from the charity stripe.

Cleveland State will make what I'm sure will be a long awaited return to the Wolstein Center Friday January 27th to host Purdue Fort Wayne. Tip off is set for 7pm and you can hear it HERE
