Cavaliers Overcome Slow Start to Beat New Orleans 113-103

CLEVELAND , OH--- The Cavaliers fight through a tough New Orleans defense today to beat the Pelicans 113-103. Key contributors in this win include Jarret Allen with his 17th double double of the season, Darius Garland with 30 points along with 6 rebounds and 11 assists, along with Okoro having a hot second half to keep the Cavaliers in this game with 11 points shooting 50% from the field. Pelicans key contributors include C.J. McCollum with 25 points and 4 assists, as well as Jonas Valanciunas with 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Cleveland started off slow due to turnovers caused by the Pelicans defense but kept themselves in the game due to key contributions by Jarret Allen and Evan Mobley in the first half. The game was neck and neck up until the fourth quarter, playing without Donovan Mitchell due to a left groin strain after playing just under 22 minutes, the Cavaliers strung together multiple buckets outscoring New Orleans 35 to 22 in the fourth. Garland had 23 points and 8 assists in the second half shooting 5 of 10 from the arc while shooting 7 of 7 from the charity stripe, carrying Cleveland to a big home win.
