NASA chief Bill Nelson is worried that the U.S. and China could go to war over the Moon.
In an interview with Politico, Nelson said China could claim the Moon as its territory if they outrace the U.S. in setting up a permanent lunar colony.
He believes the U.S. and China are in a "space race", adding "It is not beyond the realm of possibility that they say, 'Keep out, we're here, this is our territory."
NASA's Artemis project plans to send astronauts to the moon's surface by 2025.
