Cavs Win Home Opener Against Wizards 117-107 In Overtime

CLEVELAND, OHIO- The Cleveland Cavaliers host the Washington Wizards as they play their first home game of the 2022-23 campaign. The Cavs at one point lead the game by fifteen points, but the Wizards never gave up as they would rally back to tie the game before regulation ended and send the game to overtime. In overtime, Donovan Mitchell and the Cavs would take over the game drawing a few fouls and close the game out with a final score of 117-107.

Mitchell led the way for the Cavs with 37 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. He would break Austin Carr record with the most points to start the first three games of a season by a Cavalier.
