Guardians beat the Padres 3-1 after getting terrific pitching. Aaron Civale pitched four-and-two-thirds innings while giving up one earned run on four hits. The bullpen would take over and allow just two more hits for the rest of the game. Andres Gimenez and Oscar Gonzalez each hit solo homers for Cleveland who will go for the two-game-series sweep in San Diego this afternoon.
