Guardians are back to .500 after beating the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 at Progressive Field. Cleveland scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take the lead for good. Owen Miller hit a game-tying solo shot in the frame, and Oscar Mercado hit a go-ahead RBI single. Bryan Shaw earned his first win of the season in relief, and Emmanuel Clase picked up his sixth save. The 14-and-14 Guardians are in third place in the AL Central, just three-and-a-half games back of Minnesota. Zach Plesac starts for Cleveland tonight at the White Sox.
