After seeing an adorable lost puppy wandering around on the side of a road, a Massachusetts family fell in love with the tiny dog and decided to bring it home.
Unfortunately, they soon realized the cute, defenseless creature wasn't nearly as vulnerable as they initially thought. The "dog" was actually a coyote -- the kind of animal that would happily tear apart the puppy the family thought they'd brought home, according to the Cape Wildlife Center.
After animal officials advised the family to get the coyote out of their house, they handed it over to the Cape Wildlife Center, where it's now being raised alongside another coyote, officials say.
