Tom Cruise landed in a helicopter on the deck of the USS Midway aircraft carrier as part of the "Top Gun: Maverick" premiere in San Diego.
One of the premiere events for "Top Gun: Maverick" in San Diego is a showing of the film in the theater at Naval Station North Island on Coronado, where part of the movie was shot. The Navy says it's a great way to see members of the Navy flying the fighters in the action sequences on the big screen, and to honor the sailors, aviators and maintenance personnel who work every day in the U.S. Military.
