CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Guardians announced the baseball themed Grand Slam Beerfest at Progressive Field, presented by Fat Head’s Brewery, will take place this year in two sessions on Saturday, July 9, 2022. The event, in partnership with Cleveland Beerfest and benefitting The Music Settlement of Cleveland, will celebrate Cleveland’s brewing history and future. Tickets will go on sale to the General Public on May 5 at 9 a.m. All Cleveland Guardians Season Ticket Members will receive a discounted presale opportunity starting May 3 at 9 a.m.

The inaugural event in 2021 quickly sold out with 9,000 fans coming to Progressive Field to sample over 200 craft beers, wines and cocktails, while checking out the ballpark.

“We are excited to once again partner with Cleveland Beerfest and bring back such a fun and unique experience to Progressive Field,” said Cleveland Guardians Director of Special Events Caitlyn Burkart. “The response to the inaugural event was incredibly positive and we are pleased to see this become an annual special event at Progressive Field for Northeast Ohio to enjoy.”

Attendees will get to walk around Progressive Field and select drink samples from the tables of local breweries and distilleries. As in 2021, there are three different ticket options and all ticket purchasers will receive 25 sampling tickets. The General Admission ticket ($50) allows for a three-hour session (2-5PM or 8-11PM), while the Early Admission ticket ($75) allows attendees to enter one hour early, as well as access to the Progressive Field warning track for extra beer-tasting and photo opportunities. The Super Fan ticket ($95) will feature exclusive beers and a photo opportunity at home plate.

“Cleveland is one of the top craft beer cities in the country and this festival celebrates that fact,” said Director of Cleveland Beerfest Craig Johnson. “We’ve again invited all of the local breweries to gather with a sellout crowd of 9,000 fans while helping to support music education efforts in local schools by The Music Settlement organization.”

May 5: Public on-sale starting at 9AM ET at GrandSlamBeerfest.com.
