Guardians Sweep A's To Salvage Some Of The Rough Road Trip - Win 7-3

Triston McKenzie pitched a gem to lead the Cleveland Guardians past the Athletics 7-3 in Oakland. The Guardians starting pitcher tossed six-and-a-third scoreless innings and struck out seven to earn his first win of the season. Andres Gimenez went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI as the Guardians got out to a 7-0 lead. Cleveland swept the three-game series on the heels of a seven-game skid. After the game, the team designated first baseman Bobby Bradley and left-handed pitcher Logan Allen for assignment. The 10-and-12 Guardians return home to take on the Padres tomorrow.
